In this newly created role as Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for aggregating, analyzing, reporting on, and translating data into insights which play a critical role in driving our business forward.  You will interact closely with executives, stakeholders, engineers and other team members to optimize the business and decision making.

This position will also support critical Finance deliverables including monthly and quarter-end deep-dive analytics and assist in the preparation of materials for senior leadership, business partners and board meetings with data-driven analysis.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual to perform the duties listed below and to help drive DISCO’s successful growth.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing internal tools, MS Excel and other reporting tools, build custom reports that will drive core business decisions.
  • Validating the correctness and accuracy of internal and external report data.
  • Preparing and presenting daily and weekly metrics reports for business stakeholders.
  • Providing situation specific analyses to support business critical decisions.
  • Curiosity and passion about data and data visualization. 
  • Willingness to question the validity and accuracy of data. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in math, finance, accounting, statistics, economics or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skill set for translating business requirements into reports.
  • Ability to think strategically and to relate data to strategic decisions.
  • 4+ years’ experience with Microsoft Excel; expert-level formula and pivot table development.
  • Knowledge of economics and statistics.
  • Experience with Tableau, QlikSense or other analytical tools.
  • Statistics background/Predictive analytics a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage dynamic work load of changing priorities.
