DISCO is looking for a Web Designer/Developer who is motivated to create elegant, functional websites as part of our marketing team. Responsibilities will include the translation of static graphic designs into actual code that will live on the internet. You will report to the Creative Director and work alongside other marketing team leaders to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how internal and external web resources look, as well as how they work.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the architecture and content of the DISCO marketing website
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create interactive and informative web pages for new features, product updates, and marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to maintain a consistent design across all public-facing web pages, including our help center, blog, emails, and landing pages
  • Optimize web designs for SEO ranking and fast page loads
  • Share ideas about how to improve, innovate, and experiment with DISCO’s public web presence
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to determine design objectives that are technically feasible
  • Create clean, valid markup and styles based on static art files

What we’re looking for:

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience with mobile-first and responsive web design principles
  • Familiarity with modern SEO and web analytics principles
  • Familiarity with Webflow CMS
  • Familiarity building web apps with MeteorJS
  • Experience with server configuration, including an understanding of MongoDB and relational databases
  • Experience optimizing websites for speed & performance

Extra credit for:

  • Experience designing for Pardot, SalesForce, or ZenDesk Help Center
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Experience with photography or video production/editing
  • Marketing or advertising agency work experience
  • Illustration, photography, typography, creative writing, or any other creative talents you might have
