DISCO was just named as a Leader for its early case assessment (ECA) capabilities in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide eDiscovery Early Case Assessment Software 2022 Vendor Assessment  (Doc #US48970222, September 2022).

According to the IDC MarketScape, “The value prop of DISCO's ECA capabilities is aligned with corporate legal departments.”

In DISCO Ediscovery, ECA and active review are each data spaces within one integrated database, so there’s no need to transfer documents using complicated workflows. It’s simple to leverage AI learnings to speed up ECA: when users tag documents to train an AI model in the active review space, the same AI model can identify likely relevant documents in the ECA space as well. Documents are always fully enriched, so users benefit from email threading, most inclusive email identification, and fully OCRed text. Search visualization and topic clustering with automatic indexing help users quickly organize large data volumes with DISCO Ediscovery’s signature platform speed.

The IDC MarketScape also noted e that “[e]very customer interviewed in conjunction with this research indicated that ease of use of the overall platform was a major factor in their purchase decision. One customer indicated that previous tools required days of training for their end users, but DISCO required no additional training as the tool was intuitive and consumerized.”
