An electronics manufacturer had the only government approved product on the market, and was in a prime position to capitalize on an opportunity to work with the Department of Defense. After winning the bid, the plaintiff chose to contract with a third party to manufacture their designs, which included sharing trade secrets about their product. A dispute arose, resulting in a breach of contract/IP complaint. As litigation progressed, the plaintiff had over 5 million pages to review, spanning several years. The firm needed the documents to be normalized and ingested into an efficient workflow that could successfully support a 20-person review team.
DISCO was able to set up intelligent, efficient Workflow stages, sectioning millions of document pages into manageable review sets. On average, the team reviewed over 1,300 documents per day. The multi-office team was able to instantly collaborate using several DISCO features such as saved searches, custom coding shortcuts, and searchable document notes.
